Melanie is a licensed Occupational Therapist who received her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2016. She has experience with a variety of populations, including at-risk toddlers, children with sensory processing disorders, children and adults with Down syndrome, and individuals with autism spectrum disorder. She has also worked adults in the acute care setting. Melanie has experience utilizing DIR/Floortime principles in addition to behavioral strategies in pediatric settings. Since graduating, she has been working at a therapeutic day school for children with autism.
