Mariya is a Developmental Therapist who finished her masters degree at Erikson Institute in the science of child development. Her bachelors degree is in communication, media and theater. Mariya developed a program for children called Shakespeare-iment which focuses around social – emotion development, and uses Shakespeare’s plays as stories to engage children in conversation and play. She has experience as a substitute teacher and volunteered for four years at Lurie Children’s hospital as child life specialist and educator. Her internship was at Lurie Children’s hospital, where she was educational coordinator. She has experience with children who are 3-19 years old. Mariya is fluent in Bulgarian and English, but also she speaks Spanish and Russian.
