Katelyn is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist who received her Masters of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Illinois State University in May 2015. She received her Bachelors of Speech, Language, and Audiology from the University of Illinois – Champaign/Urbana in May 2013. Katelyn currently holds licensure through the State of Illinois and has the Certificate of Clinical Competence through ASHA. Her graduate clinical rotations included experiences throughout early intervention, preschools, and elementary schools. Katelyn began working for EB Pediatric Resources during her final clinical rotation and continues to work for the clinic during summer months. She continues to also work for Chicago Public Schools since the fall of 2015 where she works with individuals with a variety speech and language needs ranging from mild to profound. Particularly, she has experience working with children who have cerebral palsy, Downs Syndrome, hearing impairments, Autism Spectrum Disorder, visual impairments, cognitive impairments, social-emotional disabilities, ADHD, seizure disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, and various other disabilities. Katelyn is experienced in completing screenings, administering comprehensive speech and language evaluations, generating individualized treatment goals, and planning play-based sessions geared towards each child’s interests. Katelyn enjoys creating visuals for children who learn through a variety of avenues in order for them to increase understanding and succeed throughout each task.
